The Canton Choral Society is a non-profit, community-focused organization open to adult residents of Canton and surrounding towns. The Society is dedicated to fostering enthusiasm and accessibility to a variety of music types. Founded in 2003 by Crosby Goshgarian Jr., the Society has performed at numerous public and private events as well as hosting their own Winter Holiday and Spring Pops Concerts.

Founder and Managing Director
Crosby Goshgarian Jr.
Crosby Goshgarian Jr., business entrepreneur, has extensive education and experience in both business, and in the performing arts. Crosby is the president and owner of Premium Plus Concierge Services. Crosby’s personal and professional experience has inspired him to dedicate his business to providing exceptional care and services to a wide-range of clients with busy and demanding lifestyles. In addition to his business, Crosby is also the Founder and Managing Director of the Canton Choral Society, an SATB choral ensemble which performs publicly in and around
the Canton, MA area. He is also an active member, and frequent featured soloist of CCS. Crosby can also be seen performing as a bass soloist in the Metro South area of Massachusetts. He is currently singing at St Paul's Parish choir in Harvard Square, Cambridge MA. Additional performance credits include Faure’s Requiem with the Canton Choral Society and Needham Congregational Chancel Choir, bass soloist and sectional leader of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Milton, MA., and bass soloist and section leader of the Presbyterian Church in Needham, MA. Theatrical credits include the role of Franz in New Bedford Festival Theatre’s 2014 production of The Sound of Music, the role of Joe Boyd in the Canton Community Theater’s 2005 production of Damn Yankees among others. B.A Business Management, Cum Laude, University of Massachusetts with a minor in Music thru Boston Conservatory. Continuing Education: Opera Workshop, Conservatory Camerata at New England Conservatory. Voice studies with Wesley Copplestone, Boston Conservatory, Dr. James Houghton, Professor Emeritus, Boston University.
B. Darrel Whidden
Conductor and music educator B. Darrel Whidden began his tenure with Canton Choral Society in the Spring 2016 season. Darrel spent the previous 3 years conducting choirs and teaching music electives at Canton High School. While studying at New England Conservatory in Boston, MA, Darrel regularly conducted the NEC Concert Choir and NEC Chamber Singers, conducting Handel’s “Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne”, and leading the chamber singers in concert on tour in Washington D.C. In addition, Darrel served NEC as a guest lecturer in
conducting and guest conductor for the NEC Youth Chorale and Camerata. While in residence in Boston, Darrel also guest lectured at Roxbury Community College, lecturing on music appreciation, music theory, and conducting the chorus. Darrel also served as intern conductor with the Commonwealth Chorale under the direction of conductor David Carrier. B.M., Music Education, University of Southern Maine School of Music.
